Privacy notice: contacting ValutaFX
This notice explains how we use the personal information you give us when you email ValutaFX, and when you register your interest in ValutaFX once registration opens on this website. We collect the minimum we need, and we only use it for the purposes described here.
Who we are
ValutaFX is a trading name of SIMPLETASKGROUP LTD, registered in England and Wales, company no. 17455611, registered office 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom. SIMPLETASKGROUP LTD is the controller of your personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

ICO registration: our registration with the Information Commissioner's Office is being completed, and we will add our registration number here.
What we collect
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to put in your message, together with the usual email header information (such as the date and time it was sent).
When registration opens, we will ask for:
- your full name, company name and work email address;
- the approximate band of your company's monthly overseas payments, which you choose from a list; and
- a record of your consent: the date and time you registered and the wording you agreed to.
Our hosting provider also processes technical information needed to deliver the website securely, such as your IP address and browser details. This may be kept briefly in its security logs.
Please don't send us any sensitive information. This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking technologies.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
If you email us, we use your details to read and reply to your message. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
If you register your interest, we use your details only to contact you about the launch of ValutaFX, for example to tell you when the service becomes available, and to understand roughly what kind of businesses are interested. We rely on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you will give by ticking the box when you register.
You can withdraw your consent, or ask us to stop contacting you, at any time by emailing us or by replying to any email we send you. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it. We won't use your details for any other kind of marketing, and we won't sell them.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting and email forwarding.
- Google: the email mailbox that receives email forwarded from hello@valutafx.uk.
Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
We will not share your details with any payment or currency services provider we may work with in future without telling you first. If ValutaFX launches with a partner, we'll contact you to explain who they are and what would happen to your information. You can then choose whether you want to go ahead.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for up to 12 months from when you contact us or register. If ValutaFX launches sooner, we keep them until 6 months after launch. After that we delete them, unless you've asked us to stay in touch or become a customer, in which case we'll give you a separate privacy notice. If you withdraw your consent or ask us not to contact you, we delete your details promptly and keep only a minimal note of your request, so that we respect it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (right of access);
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format, or ask us to send it to another organisation;
- object to how we use your data; and
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, email us at the address above. There's normally no charge, and we'll reply within one month.
We don't make any decisions about you using only automated processing.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, helpline 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we'll publish the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change would significantly affect how we use your details, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
